The Fan Spawner is a complete system designed for stadiums, concerts, and large-scale crowd simulations. It combines visual quality, performance, and ease of use — all powered by smart blueprints and editor tools that let you fill entire stands in seconds.


Overview

The Fan Spawner includes two powerful placement editors:

  • Line Editor: Ideal for curved or angled stands. Easily control depth, smoothness, and spacing for natural layouts.

  • Square Editor: Perfect for irregularly shaped seating areas — manipulate spline points to fill every space precisely.

Everything is handled directly inside Unreal with clean, visual editors — no external tools required.


🪑 Seats

Bring realism to life with brand-new nanite-enabled seat models featuring:

  • Authentic folding seat animations that react dynamically as fans stand, sit, or celebrate.

  • High-resolution textures with visible seat numbers (change direction with a single click).

  • Automatic seat flipping based on fan movement.


👥 Fans

Populate your scene with 20 ultra–high-quality 4K fan models nanite enabled, optimized for large-scale performance and visual variety.

  • Each fan has randomized clothing, skin tones, and accessories to minimize repetition.

  • Designed for scalability — tested at 250,000+ fans running at 130 FPS on an RTX 3070


🎞️ Animations & Transitions

Experience lifelike crowd motion with smooth animation blending and group-based reactions:

  • 4 categories: Idle, Clapping, Angry, and Celebration.

  • Each group includes multiple sitting and standing animations for natural variation.

  • Mixer mode and random start offsets ensure every fan behaves uniquely.

  • Adjustable sit/stand ratio per animation group for full control.


🧠 Fan Control Groups

Control up to 7 independent groups of fans, each with unique animations and timings.
Use it to simulate home vs away reactions, different sections of the crowd, or special cheering zones.
Example:

  • Home Group 1: General spectators.

  • Home Group 2: Singing section with energetic animations.

  • Away Group 1–3: Visiting fans with alternate animations and colors.


Football Strips & Team Colors

When using the Football Mode, control groups 0–3 are home fans and 4–6 are away fans.
Fans will automatically wear:

  • Authentic team strips and accessories.

  • Alternating color variants that match each team’s palette.
    You can easily swap colors or team kits in the blueprint (tutorial included).


🎨 Customization Tools

Inside the Fan BP you can:

  • Paint chairs to form team logos, letters, or sections.

  • Recolor any chair with the new color picker / eyedropper tool.

  • Assign or paint fan control groups directly within the editor.

  • Remove unwanted chairs with the improved chair remover tool.

In the level blueprint, you can easily:

  • Set fan spawn percentage.
